WQMA is located in Marks, Mississippi, which is in Quitman County. The station flipped to an all oldies music format plus news and information on April 16th, 2004. The station has previously been a top 40 station, a hybrid of country and rock, Contemporary Christian music, and a simulcast of other area radio stations broadcasting blues and soul.

The station is licensed by the FCC to broadcast during daytime hours at 250 watts. It broadcasts in CD quality stereo worldwide on the global Internet at the stations website.
